Why We're Here

The digital revolution has changed our lives. We keep in touch with family and friends, do our banking and shopping, navigate our streets, interact with government, and entertain ourselves online. Unfortunately, not everyone has access to this revolution or the skills to take advantage of it. Living Connected exists to change this.

We’re a not-for-profit community enterprise dedicated to ensuring elders and others remain independent, connected and engaged through digital inclusion. In our community, in aged-care centres, in homes and online, from Bulli to Bega to Bundanoon, our experienced team of digital mentors help thousands of people learn to use their digital devices to improve their quality of life.

Our approach is based on several years’ research in aged-care facilities. Whilst technology is an integral part of what we do, our primary focus is on the social well-being of elders who, unlike younger people who use digital technology to stay connected, risk becoming isolated as they age.

We’re a graduate of the iAccelerate business incubator at the University of Wollongong and have been serving our community since 2017.

How We Help

We believe needs should come before technology and learning should be tailored to individuals. You should be able to learn what you want, on your device, at the place of your choosing. To that end, you can get help at one of our many public drops-ins, in your home, or online. We cater to all levels and work one-on-one or in small groups. No matter the environment or the situation, you’ll receive personalized help from a friendly, supportive mentor.

Donated Devices

We sometimes have digital devices available for clients undergoing financial or other hardship. If you have a working digital device you’d like to donate or know someone in need of one, please get in touch.

Donations

Many of the folks who work for Living Connected do so voluntarily and most of our services are free. Help us keep it that way by making a donation

As a networked organisation, Living Connected prides itself on building partnerships with communities and businesses. We are grateful to work alongside these and other organisations.
